Visiting Policy

Important Information for Visitors

To protect the health of our Doodle puppies and maintain a calm, nurturing environment, we don't allow drop-in visits from prospective buyers who haven't yet been approved. Once you've been approved to purchase, you're warmly welcome to visit and take your puppy home! This policy ensures the very best experience for both our puppies and our committed families.

Why We Have This Policy

Our visiting policy exists to protect the health and wellbeing of every puppy in our care. Frequent visitors can stress young Doodle puppies and potentially expose them to illness before they've completed their vaccination series. Once you're an approved family, we genuinely look forward to welcoming you and watching that first meeting unfold!

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I schedule delivery?

We recommend scheduling delivery at least 1–2 weeks in advance, though we can often accommodate shorter timeframes. The earlier you let us know, the more flexibility we have with flight options and nanny availability.

Is flying safe for Doodle puppies?

Absolutely! Our puppies travel in the cabin with a dedicated pet nanny — never in cargo. This ensures they are constantly monitored, kept comfortable, and as stress-free as possible throughout the entire journey.

What should I prepare for my puppy's arrival?

Have food and water bowls, a cozy plush bed, and a correctly sized crate ready before your puppy arrives. We'll provide detailed care instructions and let you know exactly what food your Doodle has been eating so you can keep their routine consistent.

Health Guarantee - Doodle Puppy Home

Genetic Disorders Covered

Our lifetime genetic guarantee covers the following hereditary conditions commonly found in Doodle breeds — including Cavapoos, Toy Poodles, and other Poodle crosses:

Mitral Valve Disease (MVD)

A hereditary heart condition most associated with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel lineage in Cavapoos. Progressive deterioration of the mitral valve can lead to heart murmurs and, over time, congestive heart failure if not monitored.

Hip Dysplasia

A genetic malformation of the hip joint where the ball and socket do not develop properly, causing cartilage wear, pain, and reduced mobility. Responsible breeders screen parent dogs to significantly reduce the risk of this condition.

Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA)

An inherited eye disorder causing the gradual degeneration of photoreceptor cells in the retina, leading to progressive vision loss and potentially full blindness. DNA testing of breeding pairs can identify carriers.

Syringomyelia (SM)

A neurological condition sometimes inherited through the Cavalier lineage in Cavapoos, caused by a mismatch between skull size and brain volume. Can result in pain, scratching behavior, and in severe cases, weakness in the limbs.

Epilepsy (Idiopathic)

A hereditary seizure disorder with no identifiable underlying cause beyond genetic predisposition. Idiopathic epilepsy is seen across several Poodle-cross breeds and can typically be managed with veterinary treatment.

Patellar Luxation

A congenital condition in which the kneecap (patella) slips out of its normal groove, causing intermittent lameness and discomfort. Common in small and toy breeds including Toy Poodle crosses. Severity ranges from mild to requiring surgical correction.

Von Willebrand's Disease

An inherited blood-clotting disorder that reduces the ability of platelets to form a proper clot, leading to excessive bleeding from minor injuries or surgical procedures. Carrier status can be detected through DNA testing of parent dogs.

Sebaceous Adenitis (SA)

A hereditary inflammatory skin condition that destroys the sebaceous glands, leading to scaling, hair loss, and skin infections. More commonly seen in Standard and Miniature Poodle lines and may appear in Poodle-cross offspring.
